, the representative of the Badr Parliamentary Bloc, Mueen Al-Kazemi, expected, today, Friday, to resolve the committee membership file and their presidencies by the end of the week, while specifying the approved criteria.
Al-Kadhimi said, "There is a keenness on the part of the parliamentary blocs to complete the membership of the committees, to resolve the file of their presidencies, the vice president, and the rapporteur of the committee, which numbered 25 by election, and to end the file of its presidency by age, as well as the participation of all blocs and independents in it, and the representation of minorities as well."
He added, "The agreed approach is for the head of each committee to be from a bloc that is not represented in the government in the same sector, meaning that, for example, the head of the Parliamentary Education Committee should be from a bloc other than the bloc from which a minister is in charge of the Ministry of Education."
The representative expected to resolve the naming of the parliamentary committee presidencies and the full distribution of the membership of the new deputies at the end of this week or soon, indicating that "the committees were divided into three A, B and C according to importance, and their presidencies will be distributed according to the electoral merit."
