    Today, Saturday, 4 plenary sessions of the 18th “Manama Dialogue” conference, the regional security summit, will kick off in the Bahraini capital, with the participation of Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.
    The Bahraini newspaper, Al-Watan, said that 13 high-level speakers are expected to speak at the sessions, most notably Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Walid Al-Khereiji, and US Central Command commander Gen. Michael Korella, Deputy Minister of Defense for International Relations at the Ministry of Defense and Military Production in Egypt, Major General Mohamed Salah El-Din Hassan, and others.
    The first plenary session of the security summit is titled “Energy’s Geopolitical Variables.” Speakers include the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Walid Al-Khereiji.
    It is expected that the plenary sessions of the first day of the “Manama Dialogue” will conclude with the fourth session, which will discuss “Middle East initiatives for resolving regional conflicts”, in which the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fouad Hussein, and the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the States of America will speak. The Arab Gulf, Nayef Al-Hajraf, and the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Anneken Huitveldt.
    This comes after the activities of the “Manama Dialogue” conference, the eighteenth edition of the regional security summit, kicked off yesterday evening, with a welcoming speech by Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of the King of Bahrain for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser, followed by a speech by the Director General and CEO of the International Institute. For Strategic Studies, John Chipman, while the keynote address was delivered at the opening ceremony by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
    It is noteworthy that the closing day will witness, tomorrow, Sunday, 3 sessions, in which 10 speakers will speak. The sessions will discuss the security of global maritime choke points, new partnerships in the field of security in the Middle East, and Middle East policies in the global context.
