, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, discussed, on Tuesday, with Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani, strengthening cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities and law enforcement to achieve justice and protect the rights of citizens.
Abdullah's office stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice in the federal government in the center of the capital, Baghdad, and was received by Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani and the advanced staff of the ministry."
He added, "At the beginning of the meeting, he offered congratulations and blessings to a minister on the occasion of assuming his duties, wishing him success in performing his duties and responsibilities, and in the presence of a number of deputies," noting that "they discussed issues and issues of common interest, foremost of which are ways to enhance fruitful cooperation and joint coordination between The legislative institution and service ministries.
