The Investigation Department of the Federal Integrity Commission revealed, on Wednesday, the issuance of a decision to place a precautionary seizure on the funds of the fugitive suspect, the former Undersecretary of the Minister of Electricity, and to prevent his travel.
The authority said in a statement, “The Second Karkh Investigation Court decided to place a precautionary seizure on the money of the fugitive defendant, the former deputy minister of electricity, regarding the complaint filed against him by one of the owners of the companies, because the accused requested a sum of money as a bribe in return for awarding one of the tenders announced in the Ministry of Electricity.” on the company,” indicating that “the decision was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (121) of fundamentalism.”
The statement added that "the court previously issued, on the twenty-fifth of last August, an arrest and search warrant against the accused, in accordance with the provisions of Article (Second / 1) of Resolution No. (160 of 1983), noting" the overture of the Presidency of the Baghdad Court of Appeal Al-Karkh; for the purpose of appealing to Sulaymaniyah; in order to implement the arrest warrant against the accused.”
