Representative Mustafa Jabbar Sanad suggested today, Saturday, that Iraq sell its US bonds to obtain dollars.
Sanad said in a post on his Facebook account, followed by "Baghdad Today," that "Iraq owns about $40 billion in US Treasury bonds, which is a debt owed to Iraq by the United States."
He added, "We suggest selling part of it to the world or returning half of it to the US treasury in return for recovering the dollars of Iraq."
