Iran wants a new round of talks for the Joint Higher Committee with Iraq

Shafaq News/ The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdollahian confirmed, on Wednesday, his country's desire to hold a new round of talks for the Joint Supreme Committee with Iraq.
The media office of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, stated that he had received the Iranian minister and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and an emphasis on strengthening prospects for cooperation in the security, economic and cultural fields.
Al-Sudani affirmed the Iraqi government's keenness to maintain the best relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the desire to consolidate cooperation and partnership in various fields.
The Iranian minister conveyed the greetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, to Al-Sudani, and his affirmation of the depth of brotherly relations between the two neighboring countries.
Abdullahian expressed his country's aspiration to hold a new round of talks for the joint higher committee between the two sides, and the Iranian government's commitment to everything that would contribute to Iraq's progress and prosperity.
