    The First Lady of Iraq, Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, interacted with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to plant trees, stressing that this call will achieve its goals when everyone cooperates in its implementation.

    Ahmed said in a statement, which "NAS" received a copy of, (March 3, 2023), "Let us agree and support Muqtada al-Sadr's call and plant beautiful trees all over Iraq, in appreciation and value of Muqtada al-Sadr's call in which he called on all Iraqis to work to save Iraq from desertification and environmental pollution, By starting to plant trees in all parts of Iraq, according to the available spaces and possibilities, greenery, to benefit human society, bird life, the environment, and the beauty of nature.”  
      
    She added, "This call will achieve its goals when everyone cooperates in its implementation, which only requires a sense of responsibility for the phenomenon and effects of desertification, which has become a threat to life and has a significant negative impact on most aspects of life and humanity. In the agricultural, animal and industrial sectors."  
      
    "All efforts must be centered on the interests of people, land, income, the environment, and the interests of current and future generations," emphasized the First Lady.  
      
    She explained, "National thinking is not only political and governmental work, but it is also a starting point for healthy thinking for everyone who cares about the interests of society and its citizens."  
      
    And Ahmed continued, "Once again, greetings and appreciation for this idea and support for its implementation and success, God willing, with the efforts of every citizen in this country, who deserves to always be safe, peaceful, progressive, and able to overcome all obstacles and crises."  
      
    Earlier, the private office of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the launch of the "green cover" campaign, while issuing seven directives and instructions to the farmer.
