    Baghdad - Nas
Numerous indications from the offices of influential parties in Iraq indicate that the political equation that paved the way for the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani will undergo sharp changes, due to various circumstances. The most important of which is the high possibility of the return of the activity of the leader of the "Sadr movement", Muqtada al-Sadr, and the sharp intersection between the poles of the "coordination framework".

Shiite parties are trying to anticipate "unexpected big turns" by drawing a new map that may include setting a date for early elections and reaching an understanding with al-Sadr on the next stage.

According to reliable sources who spoke to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, followed by “Nass” (March 4, 2023), the relationship between Al-Sudani and the “coordinating framework” has become “turbulent” for at least two months, lacking coordination, while the non-public disintegration of the alliance contributed The Shiite led to "the emergence of competing partisan poles besieging the prime minister and restricting his effectiveness."

An informed political source said, "Both al-Sudani and the framework are working in opposite directions, and each side looks at the other in a way of domination, not cooperation."

Local media claimed that Al-Sudani will resort to a cabinet change that may include partisan figures with whom Washington has banned dealings, due to its association with the armed factions, but Iraqi politicians who spoke to the newspaper linked Al-Sudani's intention to the conflict within the "coordination framework".

Al-Sudani appeared, in a recording broadcast on state television, criticizing the performance of some ministers, noting that others had received threats from their parties.

Al-Sudani had never made such explicit statements publicly, which were received by local public opinion as directed at the "Coordination Framework" coalition.

Al-Sudani said, "The minister's relationship with the political forces ends after he is nominated and gains the confidence of Parliament (...) and whoever feels pressure or threat, I am present."

There are conflicting positions regarding the status of the "framework", and whether it is able to hold more together in continuing to support the government that it formed, or to give it up entirely to smaller alliances.

While these winds are "prelude to a political storm", expected by leaders in the "coordination framework", a Shiite movement is promoting "the impossibility of the water remaining stagnant, without real political activity, with a solo concert from one front, except for the restoration of the Sadrist movement."

A leader in the "coordinating framework" told the newspaper: "Al-Sadr is ready to move, and everything he does raises the anxiety of the leaders of the Shiite parties, and they are mainly involved in major disputes over the sphere of influence within the government."

This current pushes towards opening urgent channels with al-Sadr, to reach an understanding with him, "even if the matter requires agreeing on a date for early elections."

Observers interpret al-Sudani's positions and plans regarding the alleged cabinet reshuffle as "an attempt that may succeed in breaking the stalemate and protecting his name as a trump card, even if a major political turning point occurs."
