Political analyst Hazem Al-Bawi said, on Friday, that the government's speed in responding to the segment of employees and adjusting their salary scale is sufficient to reassure them and compensate them for the years of deprivation and injustice that they faced at the hands of past governments.
Al-Bawi said in a press interview seen by “Takadam” that this measure by the government will contribute to blocking the way for parties that began to exploit this dangerous file for purposes with known intentions.
Al-Bawi added that it is not reasonable for injustice to continue against a wide segment of Iraqi society since 2008 until now, while promises are made by past governments to amend the peace, which today witnesses great demands to proceed with its amendments.
He urged the government to anticipate the first day of next month, which is set for demonstrations and open sit-ins for employees, by reassuring them and announcing the approval of passing the decision to amend their salary scale.
