    Information / Baghdad ..
Representative Muhammad Al-Ziyadi expressed, on Wednesday, his concern about the government's inability to pay the salaries of employees and retirees in the event that the oil price falls below $60, while he indicated that the voting session on the budget will be determined in the middle of next week.

Al-Ziyadi told Al-Maalouma, "The Finance Committee is close to completing the preparation of the draft budget law, after it completed its full hosting of ministers, governors and concerned officials and listened to their demands, in addition to the observations that were made during the second reading by the deputies."
He added, "There is nothing left for the Finance Committee except for a simple review of the tables and a reformulation of the paragraphs of the law by the Legal Committee," noting that "the holding of a voting session on the federal budget will be determined in the middle of next week."
He continued, "There is a fear of fixing the price of a barrel of oil at $70 for fear of political fluctuations at the regional and international levels."
He pointed out that "if the oil price drops to $60 in the last quarter of this year, the government will not be able to secure the salaries of employees and retirees."
The value of the total budget amounted to more than 197 trillion dinars (151.5 billion dollars), and the operational budget amounted to more than 150 trillion dinars, while the investment amounted to 47 trillion Iraqi dinars, 47 trillion (36 billion dollars).
The deficit rate reached 63.275 trillion dinars, with the adoption of a price of 70 dollars per barrel of oil, given that more than 95 percent of budget revenues depend on oil sales. End / 25 m
