Shafaq News/ The Iraqi judiciary obligated the politician, Mishaan al-Jabouri, to return about one and a half billion dinars for the salaries he received and to protect him before canceling his membership in Parliament.
Al-Jubouri had filed a lawsuit against the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, stating that he was not liable to the House of Representatives, and that the Federal Court's decision obligated the first to any amount.
According to the ruling issued by the Presidency of the Baghdad / Karkh Federal Court of First Instance, Al-Halbousi has the right to claim Al-Jubouri for the salaries and allowances he had received before canceling his membership in the House of Representatives.
The ruling indicated that Al-Jubouri’s lawsuit has no legal support and must be dismissed, and accordingly it was decided to dismiss his lawsuit
