Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The Federal Integrity Commission announced, today, Wednesday, the seizure of the first (685) loans worth five billion dinars that were not paid in a government bank in Basra Governorate.
And the Commission’s Investigation Department stated, in its discussion of the details of the operation that was carried out according to a judicial note, according to a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that “a team from the Commission’s Investigation Directorate in Basra moved to Al-Rafidain Bank - Basra 2.”
And she confirmed, “He was able to control an inventory of unpaid loans since 2008, which numbered (618) loans and were granted with the authority of the branch manager, with a value of (4,029,000,000) four billion and twenty-nine million Iraqi dinars.”
And she explained that “the same team also seized an inventory of loans that have not been paid since the year (2007) and which were granted with the authority of the public administration,” noting that “the number of loans amounted to (67) loans with a value of (1,265,000,000) one billion, two hundred and sixty-five million.” .
And she pointed out that “the loan division in the bank is still reluctant to obtain these loans.”
She added that “the staff of the Directorate seized – in a separate operation – the loan of one of the borrowers, amounting to (30,000,000) million Iraqi dinars; Because the Al-Rafidain Bank branch in the governorate forged the signatures of the guarantor in the loan file, and used his personal documents,” noting that “the guarantor did not guarantee the owner of the loan in front of the bank.”
“The two process records were organized for the two operations, which were carried out according to two judicial notes, and they were presented, along with the exhibits, to the judge of the Investigation Court specialized in cases of integrity in Basra. To complete the legal procedures and identify the defaulters, "according to the statement.
