On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted on the Social Security and Retirement Bill for Workers.
And the media department of the parliament stated, in a statement, that "the House of Representatives voted on the draft law on social security and retirement for workers."
The department added, "The council adjourned its session to next Saturday."
The Council ended the vote on the law in its entirety, which aims to include broader workers in the three sectors (private, mixed, and cooperative), and every person covered by the Labor Law who spend their years working without any real guarantee that guarantees a decent life for them and their families, and an affirmation of the principles stipulated in the Constitution, and in response to developments The current stage and facing social crises and in line with the call of the International Labor Organization to expand the base of social protection and to include broader groups of segments of Iraqi society with social security for workers.
