Deputy Chairman of the Investment and Development Committee, Representative Hussein Al-Sabri, stressed today, Thursday, that the investment budget amounts to 40-45 trillion dinars, which does not meet ambition, stressing that transferring some investment projects to the private sector will lead to reducing the deficit.

Al-Sabri said, in an interview with the "Openly" program broadcast by Alsumaria TV, that "the transfer of the Finance Committee from Parliament to the government building is wrong and contains a kind of dictatorship and prevents the deputies from implementing their constitutional right to monitor what is happening in the Finance Committee or to contact them, and this counts on the Presidency of Parliament after Transferring the committee to the government headquarters as a guest.

He added: "The problem is that everything comes from the government, and the government spokesman confirmed that there are no increases in fuel prices because the citizen must entertain him, and this matter must focus on not burdening the citizen with additional taxes, and today there is no convincing reason to add new taxes on the citizen because of the size of the budget." approved for the three years.

He pointed out that "the percentage of investment projects within the budget law is not at the level of ambition and was between 40 to 45 trillion dinars," noting that "there are projects that can be paid to the private sector to reduce the deficit and revitalize the private sector."

Al-Sabri stressed that "the government should go to invest the gas associated with oil extraction operations, because this will lead to reducing the deficit in the budget," explaining that "there are projects that went to internal and external loans, which will burden the budget with the deficit, so there was a tendency to push those projects to invest to reduce the deficit in Budget".
