Today, Friday, the leader of the Al-Nasr coalition, Aqil Al-Rudaini, revealed a prevailing opinion regarding Al-Sudani's ministerial changes, which are likely to be postponed until after the elections.
Al-Rudaini told (Baghdad Today), that "according to the Sudanese government's approach, a comprehensive evaluation period was set for many senior government positions in the country, whether general managers, agents, or even ministers. The period was 6 months, and many changes took place during it."
He added, "There are opinions that talk about ministerial changes, and even some governors will be included in the mechanism, but on the other hand, the prevailing opinion in the political circles at the present time goes to suggest that any upcoming change will be after the elections in next December, given that any change will be considered by some as targeting." For a bloc or party, and therefore it may raise problems, and some consider it political or partisan targeting.
Al-Rudaini indicated, "It is expected that the wave of changes will stop until after the next elections, whether for ministers, governors, or even agents."
There has been talk for weeks about an expected cabinet change in the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, and the prime minister can, according to the Iraqi constitution, make amendments to his cabinet, provided that it is voted on by a majority of half plus one of parliament.
