FontShafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to more than one billion and 200 million dollars.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week, during the five days in which the auction opened, an amount of 1 billion 200 million 447 thousand and 100 dollars, at a daily rate of 256 million 689 thousand 420 dollars, up by 20.91% from what was recorded in the previous week, which amounted to At a daily rate of 210 million and 145 thousand and 653 dollars.
The highest sales of the dollar during the past week were on Wednesday, when it amounted to 274 million and 980 thousand and 624 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Sunday, when sales amounted to 238 million and 9 thousand and 284 dollars.
Sales of foreign remittances during the past week amounted to 1 billion 73 million 970 thousand and 100 dollars, an increase of 80.5% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 209 million 470 thousand dollars.
Our anchors explained that the sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards amounted to 1305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of remittances abroad and the cash sale price amounted to 1310 dinars per dollar.
