Talk is escalating about expected changes in the joints of the Iraqi state, including ministers, heads of agencies and general directors, as observers and journalists support making changes to pump new blood into the arteries of the state's administrative apparatus.
Government officials have been carrying out their work in special grades for many years, which portends monotony in performance and an increase in routine government work. It seems that the Prime Minister has free hand to make the change he wants, in support of the implementation of the government program.
And a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Muhammad Jassem Al-Khafaji, had told Al-Sabah earlier that “the issue of making changes in the government is up to the Prime Minister’s diagnosis, as he is the one who can do that in general,” describing him as “the closest to diagnosing the imbalance.” .
The academic and researcher in political affairs, d. Abdul Aziz Al-Issawi pointed out that replacing faces is necessary to implement the government curriculum, and that some countries set a time limit for officials to assume government positions.
Al-Issawi told Al-Sabah: “Changes and replacing faces are necessary if we take into account the ministerial curriculum full of promises related to services and the eradication of poverty.” He added that “the changes include executive officials, and this is the right of the government, as faces must be changed to build the state Pointing out that “some countries set a specific time for assuming the position.”
Al-Issawi asked, “Will the political blocs allow the prime minister to make changes without political interference?” He stressed that it is a “difficult test,” expecting political objections to be issued.
As the researcher expected, “the changes will be bold and will not stop at the borders of the capital, Baghdad, or specific governorates, because the Sudanese has graduated in government jobs and knows that success will only be achieved by changing unproductive and ineffective faces,” and he indicated that “addressing the failure of previous governments is not the same tools, because Change is necessary for the Iraqi state and an imperative if the prime minister wants to implement the governmental platform he promised.
Al-Issawi reaffirmed that “making changes is a positive matter, especially since the prime minister is not preparing to run for elections, and any reform will count in his favor if he manages to fend off the political pressures he is exposed to.” When every official exercises his duties away from political interference.
For his part, the writer and journalist, Muhammad Waddah, criticized the slow pace of change in the joints of the Iraqi state, calling for empowering young people to seize their opportunity.
Waddah told Al-Sabah: “Changes are necessary, as an official cannot remain in his position for a long time, because this will lead to an increase in nepotism, nepotism, and others.” He added, “It is necessary to inject new blood because they have a new vision in managing important files, Young people must be given a chance.
He stressed the presence of "young leaders who will contribute to breaking the monotony in the political process, because change is healthy in all joints," calling for "giving new ideas an opportunity after trying previous ideas."
