    Al-Mashhadani said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "the central bank's exclusion of the 14 banks came according to data and evidence available to it from the US Treasury, after the report that was leaked to the media and identified them by names," stressing that "the bank cannot proceed with this step without it being It has specific data and evidence.
    And he added, "The US ambassador's tweet yesterday came to confirm that there are no new sanctions on the Central Bank of Iraq, expressing his surprise at" the emergence of some statements in this direction, as it cannot be punished for its international immunity.
    He pointed out that "the banks that were excluded from the window for selling the currency acquire 8% of the dollar sold, meaning that their share amounts to only 30 million dollars, but they finance dozens of banking companies, so the Central Bank proceeded to take a series of measures, including the transfer of linking 116 companies Banking in other banks to address the problem of the dollar and push to reduce its exchange rates and solve the problem.
    And he continued, "The central bank is supposed not to take a decision to exclude the 14 banks before conducting an investigation, and if they are proven, penalties will be taken against them, including withdrawing the license and referring them to the judiciary in the event that their involvement in money laundering or smuggling is proven."
