    A member of the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshes Committee, MP Rafik al-Salihi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the amendment of the law of renting and selling agricultural lands is still a matter of disagreement between the political forces due to fears that the law will be exploited for private interests.

    Al-Salhi said, in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that "the delay in completing the amendment of the law of renting and selling agricultural lands needs more scrutiny, in order to prevent any corruption operations regarding the agricultural land lease file."
    He added, "The Parliamentary Agriculture Committee will follow up on the implementation of the law in all its details, after enacting its amendments."
    Al-Salihi pointed out that "the amendment of the law of renting and selling agricultural lands is still a matter of contention between the political forces, due to fears that the law will be exploited for private interests, with regard to giving agricultural and veterinary graduates the right to dispose of them."
    The House of Representatives had postponed completing the vote on the first amendment law to the agricultural land lease law, due to disagreements over the amendments. Ended / 25 AD
