Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Election Commission announced, today, Thursday, the last date for receiving the names of replacement candidates for those excluded.
Commission spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalai said that the Board of Commissioners decided to set the end of official working hours for Thursday, the last date for receiving the names of replacement candidates for those excluded by previous Board of Commissioners decisions.
She added that they were excluded as a result of their eligibility verification procedures.
In the same context, the Director of the Media Team of the Election Commission, Imad Jamil, said: There will be surveillance cameras distributed across all electoral stations that will record events from the start of the voting process until the end of the voting period, and their data will be sent via the memory device to the National Center and will be used after registering any complaint at the aforementioned station. .
He added: There will also be manual and electronic counting and sorting, with the results arriving at the stations within 6 hours, that is, from the start of the voting process until 6 p.m., and the results will be announced within 24 hours.
Jamil assured that the elections will be fair.
The Commission invited all media outlets and representatives of political parties and alliances and civil society organizations to attend and cover the electronic lottery process for selecting polling officials next Sunday at eleven o’clock in the morning at the Al-Mansour Al-Milia Hotel in Baghdad.
