The President of the Republic identifies three reasons for water scarcity

Yesterday, Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Abdel Latif Gamal Rachid, indicated three reasons
Water scarcity.
A presidential statement stated, “The Office of the Presidency of the Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, held a workshop on (climate change) under the auspices of the President of the Republic.”
Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.
He added, “The workshop was held in the presence of the President of the Republic, the Minister of Environment, Nizar Amedi, the President of the Bureau, Kamel Al-Dulaimi, and a number of advisors and officials.”
In the Presidency of the Republic.
The President of the Republic said, in his speech at the workshop: “The causes of water scarcity are due to several fundamental factors related to climate and the resulting lack of rainfall, high temperatures, drought, and desertification.
Beyond human control.”
He pointed out, “There are diligent efforts being made to use water harvesting to take advantage of rain and snowfall in areas of the region and to follow modern methods to store it in lakes through strategic storage and the construction of dams.”
Rashid pointed out that “the other reason for water scarcity is related to Iraq’s water sources that are located outside its geographical borders, and the upstream countries control the quantities of water flowing to the country through the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and their tributaries,” noting that “there are no international or bilateral agreements to regulate the division of
