Al-Rafd Center for Strategic Studies said on Wednesday that the political blocs rejecting Sudanese’s speech at the Cairo summit to discuss the situation in Palestine are “those who want submission” and “believe in normalization,” while confirming that the Prime Minister’s position relied on the popular base.
The center’s director, Abbas al-Jubouri, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “In his speech at the emergency Cairo summit, Al-Sudani relied on the popular base, not the political one, which in Iraq has no security,” indicating that “politicians are always looking out for their interests, and partly Many of them do not even believe in patriotism.”
He added, "Some political blocs consider the Palestinian issue to be an external matter and have nothing to do with it, and this is what appeared publicly," indicating that "the popular events that took place in Iraq did not take place in the entire Arab world."
The director of Al-Rafd Center explained, “The popular demonstrations in support of the Palestinian cause constituted a great motivation for Al-Sudani to speak with such strength and comfort, and in a free Iraqi voice.”
He stated, “The political blocs that are skeptical of Sudanese speech are the groups that are trembling and willing to submit and even believe in normalization,” stressing that “many political forces are contemplating normalization with the Israeli entity, despite their knowledge of central Baghdad.”
Earlier, a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, considered the rejection of some political blocs of Al-Sudani’s speech during the emergency Cairo summit as “affecting nothing” on Iraq’s position on the Palestinian issue, while he stressed that the popular and governmental activities were “distinguished.”
The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, delivered a “strong” speech during the emergency summit on the recent events in Palestine in front of the heads of other Arab countries, affirming Iraq’s position rejecting the Zionist aggression. Ended/25 Rs
