Tehran does not rule out opening new fronts against Israel if the war on Gaza continues

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian warned on Saturday that if “the current situation and Israeli crimes continue, the expansion of the circle of war and the opening of new fronts against the entity in the region are possible.”
He also stressed, during his meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in New York, that "Iran supports any political solution that leads to an immediate cessation of crimes against humanity and genocide in Gaza, and the continuous sending of humanitarian aid and confronting the forced displacement of the population of Gaza."
He added, "The silence of some countries and America's support for the brutal and genocidal attack by the Israeli entity is an encouraging factor for this apartheid entity to intensify its attacks against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank."
He stressed "the need for immediate and decisive action by the international community and the United Nations, especially its Security Council, in carrying out their duties in the field of supporting the resistance of the Palestinian people."
He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has placed among the basic principles of its foreign policy continued support for the Palestinian people's liberation struggle and resistance with the aim of achieving their full human rights."
