Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Iraqi House of Representatives fails to approve controversial draft laws due to political differences, despite the fact that the political agreement within the state administration coalition stipulates the passage of controversial laws within six months of the formation of the Sudanese government.
Statements issued by the representatives themselves confirm the failure to approve controversial draft laws.
Earlier, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, said, “Political differences are the main reason behind the House of Representatives’ failure to pass controversial draft laws.”
The representative of the Fatah Alliance, Abbas Al-Zamili, considered that “the political differences between the political blocs, especially between the coordination framework and the tripartite alliance, are the main reason behind the failure of the House of Representatives to approve controversial draft laws.”
Political differences between the political blocs, especially between the coordinating framework and the Sadrist movement, also led in previous years to disrupting the approval of controversial draft laws.
Among the most prominent draft laws that have been blocked are the Food Security and Development Law, the Federal General Budget Law, and the General Amnesty Law.
The division of Parliament into rival blocs led to more political and economic crises in the country
