Nechirvan Barzani and Romanowski stress the importance of maintaining the security of coalition forces and diplomatic missions in Iraq

Shafaq News/ The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, stressed on Wednesday the importance of maintaining the security of the international coalition forces against ISIS, and the diplomatic missions present throughout Iraq.
A statement issued by the region’s presidency stated that President Nechirvan Barzani received Romanowski this morning.
The statement added that during the meeting, the continued expansion of relations between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region with the United States of America was discussed within the framework of the American-Iraqi strategic agreement, where the two sides stressed the continuity of mutual and important cooperation, and the commitment to protecting the security of the international coalition forces and diplomatic missions throughout all parts of Iraq.
In another aspect of the meeting, which was attended by the US Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, the internal situation in the region and the latest developments in the region in general were discussed.
