{International: Al-Furat News} The American B-21 Raider nuclear bomber carried out its first flight test today, Friday, bringing the advanced warplane closer to becoming the country's new nuclear bomber.
The B-21 Raider flew over Palmdale, California, where it was being tested and developed by the Northrop Grumman military conglomerate.
The Air Force plans to build 100 of the warplanes that have a flying wing shape, like its predecessor, the B2 Spirit, but they will include advanced materials, a propulsion system, and smooth technology, making them more capable of surviving in any future conflict.
The plane will be produced in different models, with and without pilots.
US Air Force spokeswoman Anne Stefanik said, "The B-21 Raider is on a flight test."
She added: “Such test flights are an important step in the campaign to provide long-range penetrating strike and survivability capabilities that will deter aggression and strategic attacks on the United States, allies, and partners.”
