The leader in the coordination framework, Turki Al-Utbi, confirmed on Tuesday that the Sunni forces had presented 5 candidates for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Al-Atbi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The Sunni forces officially presented a list of 5 names nominated for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, but it is not final, and we expect two more names to be added in the next 24 hours, bringing the list to 7 names.”
He added, "The names will be studied by the coordination framework in its next session, stressing that" deciding the position on them will be according to the legal path through voting in the House of Representatives."
He pointed out that "it is not possible to decide the direction of support for any candidate from now on, waiting for the framework meeting soon, expecting that the consensus scenario of the candidate will be the one that will be adopted in the end."
