Erbil...the opening of the largest iron production factory in Iraq

{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, opens the Van Steele Iron Factory in Erbil on Tuesday morning.
Van Steele is the largest iron factory in the Kurdistan region and Iraq, as it was implemented by the {Giliyaw} group, licensed by the ninth formation of the Kurdistan government.
The project provides many job opportunities, 95% of which are for local workers, and provides more than the region and Iraq’s need for iron.
The factory is equipped according to international standards, with systems and equipment, and all its parts are connected to the latest technologies. It has excellent features, to be the first of its kind in Kurdistan. It relies on local scrap and foreign raw materials. It is an environmentally friendly factory and has many other characteristics.
Earlier, project supervisors announced that the opening of the Van Steele factory will create more than 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
