The Central Bank announced today, Wednesday, a decrease in the inflation rate compared to last year.
A statement from the Central Bank, received by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that “the nature of the price stability achieved in the country is good compared to many countries in which inflation has reached two or three decimal places.”
He explained, “Inflation in Iraq reached approximately (3.7%) in the month of August 2023, despite the rise in inflation in Iraq’s trading partner countries and according to the relative importance of those countries in their trade with it, namely Iran and Turkey, at (46%), (57%) ) respectively".
He added, "This reflects the success of the central bank's policy tools in achieving price stability and maintaining inflation rates within acceptable limits."
