The Ministry of Transport reported that Russian and German companies have expressed their desire to invest in the projects of the Grand Al-Faw Port, due to its strategic location that provides easy access to regional and global markets.
Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, Maitham Al-Safi, explained to “Al-Sabah” that the Ministry had received offers from major German and Russian companies for the purpose of investing in the projects of the Grand Al-Faw Port, especially after they were informed of the advanced infrastructure of the port and its strategic location that provides easy access to regional and global markets and its high rates. The achievements achieved during the past period, so these companies expressed their willingness to invest and work to develop the facilities and services available in the port, in a way that enhances commercial activity and pushes the development of the region forward.
He pointed out that there is an integrated study prepared by the Ministry for the purpose of operating the port in accordance with advanced international standards, making it a global commercial station linking the east of the world to its west through the Development Road Project, noting that through the Ministry’s development plan and the adoption of many giant projects, especially the Grand Al-Faw Port, it seeks To attract major international companies to benefit from their expertise and learn about the investment opportunities they provide.
