Earth News/ The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, called today, Thursday, during his reception of the French ambassador to Iraq, the French companies to participate in the reconstruction of the provinces.
A statement by Al-Ghazi's office, received by "Earth News", stated that "the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, received the French ambassador to Iraq, and confirmed that the Iraqi government has a real will to deepen bilateral relations with France, towards forming a political and economic partnership that serves the interests of the two countries in all sectors."
Al-Ghazi indicated, according to the statement, that "the Prime Minister assigned us to follow up all the common files between Iraq and France, and to stand on the most important common interests between the two governments and peoples of the two countries, noting that real partnerships are the guarantee to deepen and develop relations for the better."
Al-Ghazi renewed Iraq's call to French companies to "enter forcefully in the field of reconstruction and investment in all governorates and in various sectors."
For his part, the French ambassador praised “the electoral process that took place recently in Iraq,” stressing “the French government’s support for the Iraqi government that will be formed, and what the next phase will produce, and the French side’s continuation of providing programs to support the stabilization effort and establish projects in various Iraqi governorates.”
