A high-ranking security source in Anbar Governorate said on Wednesday that American forces have expanded aerial reconnaissance operations from desert areas towards city centers in a new development that is the first of its kind in years.

The source said in a statement to Al-Ma’louma Agency, “The American military aircraft and aircraft directed their compass towards the centers of the districts of Fallujah, Ramadi, Khalidiya, and Al-Amiriyah, after the reconnaissance operations were brief in the areas of the western Anbar desert, towards the areas of the border strip with Syria, reaching the areas of the Syrian depths.
