    The House of Representatives voted, today, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, on the proposal for the Second Amendment Law to the Independent High Electoral Commission Law No. (31) of 2019, during its 26th session of the first legislative term, the third legislative year, and the fifth electoral cycle.

    The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that the House of Representatives voted on the proposal for the Second Amendment Law to the Independent High Electoral Commission Law No. (31) of 2019.

    Earlier today, the Iraqi House of Representatives held its 26th session of the first legislative term of the year. The third legislative session, the fifth electoral session, headed by the acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi.



    The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, “The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of Session No. 26 of the first legislative term, the third legislative year, the fifth electoral cycle, in the presence of 167 deputies.”

    The session’s agenda includes 6 items, which are voting on the proposed law on the second amendment to the Election Commission Law No. 31 of 2019, the draft law on returning properties to their owners covered by some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, and the draft law on official holidays.

     
    In addition to the first reading of the draft law on the first amendment to the Popular Mobilization Authority law, and the draft law on the first amendment to the Martyrs Foundation Law No. 2 of 2016, as well as the second reading of the draft law on the National Intelligence Service.
