The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, expressed his full support for female judges and their empowerment to assume important judicial positions today, Thursday.
A statement by the Council received by (Mawazine News) stated that "Judge Faiq Zidane received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iraqi Female Judges Association, Judge Taghreed Abdul Majeed, and the members of the Council, Judges Amila Mafroud, Nawar Obaid, Shaima Fathi, and Alia Ali, to discuss several issues related to the work of the Association."
The President of the Judicial Council expressed "full support for female judges and their empowerment to assume important judicial positions and provide all the capabilities that would facilitate the work of female judges."
For their part, the members of the Association's Board of Directors conveyed the requests of female judges to the Supreme Judicial Council, and the President of the Council promised to respond to them.
