An informed source in the Ministry of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government denied that the salaries of 7,000 Peshmerga forces in the Kurdistan Region had been stopped.
The source said, "The process of disbursing July salaries was carried out smoothly, and did not witness any defect or abnormal situation."
He added, "The salaries of the security forces, including the Peshmerga, Asayish, and intelligence, were paid normally, and there was no process of stopping the payment of salaries to 7,000 members because they receive social welfare salaries."
