    The Ministry of Electricity signed the financial agreement with the US General Electric Company, the maintenance contract for 13 generating plant to add 700 megawatts national electrical system the middle of next summer, indicating that it will pay the value of the contract amounting to $ 328 million over three years ,beginning after the completion of maintenance work, with a grace period standing one year. 
    the ministry said in a statement, received (range Press) copy of it, it " has concluded financial agreement with the US General electric Company, in the presence of Minister of Electricity, Qassim al - Fahdawi, after amonth and a half of hammered technical agreement with the company in the (January 28 2016) , "noting that" the agreements within the maintenance of 13 obstetric station held American company to beimplemented to add 700 megawatts of power to the national electricity system the middle of next summer. " 
    she said the Ministry of Electricity, that" the conclusion of the financial agreement came after obtaining theapproval of the Ministry of Finance and the Iraqi trade Bank , to pay the contract value amounting to 328 million dollars, which the ministry Stsddh during the three - year formula begins after the completion ofmaintenance work , "indicating that" the fiscal pact includes a grace period of repayment for the first year, that begins after the payment for two years on the eight batches, with four annual payments. " it is 
    noteworthy that the Ministry of Electricity announced (January 25 2016) its agreement with GE worth about $ 328 million to increase electricity production by a thousand megawatts, indicating that it includes theprocessing of the maintenance of the generating units of gas stations Khairat, Karbala and Najibiyah Shatt al -Basra and southern materials Baghdad first, Jerusalem and Alhaidariya, Najaf and Diwaniyah, as well as processing and installation engines units (LM6000) for stations Musayyib and Jerusalem invading, processing, installation and unit fuel reprocessing plant Diwaniyah gas, and the rehabilitation and installation of plant engine Bazargan gas.
