Parliamentary proposal to end private banks’ exploitation

    Friday, 10 May 2013 11:15

    Shafaq
News / An MP of the Finance Committee has submitted on Friday a
proposal to his committee provides an agreement with the Central Bank
and Ministry of Finance to distribute salaries for all state employees
in dollar for one month to end the “exploitation” of private banks and
    banking companies to citizens.

    “I proposed to the Finance
Committee to distribute salaries of all employees in dollars instead of
the Iraqi dinar and in official exchange rate, for one month to stop the
exploitation of the Private Banks to citizens, and raise the value of
the dollar against the Iraqi dinar,” A member of the Finance Committee,
    Ameen Hadi told “Shafaq News”.

    Hadi explained that “the proposal
will make the process reversed as the citizen will be the owner of hard
currency therefore banks cannot exploit citizens again”.

    The
dollar rose against the Iraqi dinar with a difference from the official
exchange rate announced by the Central Bank of Iraq up to 10 thousand
dinars for each “100” dollar against the Iraqi dinar.
