    Transport Minister announced the agency Abdul Hussein Abtan, direct measures for the completion of the final process of Nasiriyah Airport, vowing to complete the work and receive the first flights within three months. 
    He Abtan, who visited Nasiriyah, accompanied by a team of specialists in civil aviation, he was briefed on the stages of completion of Nasiriyah airport, which amounted to about 90%, and to proceed with the face starting next week, the final procedures to be done as soon as. 
    He said in a joint press conference with Chairman of the Board of Dhi Qar Hamid Gazan, he was wandering in the corridors of the airport and found that a lot of facilities completed including the runways and the control tower and your lighting runway and convergence-aircraft system, and lacks only the finishing touches to the reception hall and departing travelers. 
    He added that the field work will be financing through investment by Iraqi Airways, which will be responsible for it in coordination with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority. 
    The minister also pledged to approach the Iraqi Interior Ministry and the adoption of the airport as an outlet border air, to take over the creation of the special audit passports and securing citizens cadres. 
    He stressed, saying that "the countdown to the opening of the airport have looked and will be completed in the airport within three months that will be inaugurated in the month of Muharram in the latest". 
    He saw the opening of the airport has become an essential requirement as it is the Nasiriyah of great importance among the rest of the Iraqi provinces, especially after the adoption of Ahuarha and its effects within the World Heritage List, as well as its large population, which exceeds two million. 
    He continued, so it is our duty as a government can provide the services they deserve and perhaps the most prominent of the completion of the civil airport project where, which would yield an economic return which large province as well as the operation of labor in them. 
    For his part, Chairman of the Board of the province of Dhi Qar Gazan Hamid said all the infrastructure of the airport incomplete or delay the completion of currently open only passenger reception hall. 
    He denied that the Iraqi Ministry of Defense had opposed the opening of the airport, stressing that the minister himself declared his initial oral Park and the opening of the airport, however, that there are some conflicts about the land and space, which will be resolved soon.
