[ltr](IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki revealed that “Syria demanded to deposit funds at the Central Bank of Iraq.”[/ltr]
[ltr]Maliki said in a TV interview “During his last visit to Baghdad, The Syrian Foreign Minister, Waleed al-Mu’alim requested to deposit funds in Iraq, but the CBI refused this request.”[/ltr]
[ltr]The Prime Minister expressed his worries over consequences of the current events in Syria on Iraq’s unity, noting “The weapons of the Syrian opposition started to be smuggled to Iraq.”[/ltr]
[ltr]The Foreign Minister of Syria, had visited Iraq on 26th of last May heading a senior delegation to discuss the Syrian crisis and Baghdad-Damascus relations.[/ltr]
