JAPAN: We hope Iraq will facilitate the entry of our companies into the field of work and investment
The Japanese ambassador to Iraq stressed on Monday his country's readiness to develop relations of cooperation with Iraq, hoping that the new Iraqi government will facilitate the necessary procedures for the entry of Japanese companies to the field of work and investment in Iraq.
"Japan is ready to develop relations with Iraq, especially in the economic field," Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Naufumi Hashimoto said during a visit to Iraq today.
He added that "Japanese companies have the desire and willingness to invest, and expressed the hope that the new Iraqi government to facilitate the necessary procedures for the entry of Japanese companies to the field of work and investment in Iraq."
For his part, Hammoud Hamoudi called on Japan to expand its investments in Iraq and to take advantage of the facilities provided by the government within its new program to encourage the entry of foreign companies, stressing the important role of Japan under its expertise and advanced technology.
