BAGHDAD / NINA / The representatives of the Kurdistan Alliance presented a request to postpone the vote on the president 24 hours or more until they reach an agreement on their candidate for the presidency.
A parliamentary source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The representatives of the Kurdistan Alliance presented, at the meeting of the Presidency of the Council of Representatives with the leaders of the political blocs, a request to postpone the vote on the President of the Republic for a period of 24 hours or more to make room for them to submit their candidate for the presidency."
He added that "Kurdistan will present this request formally in today's session."
It is mentioned that the Kurdistan has two candidates, Barham Salih, and Fuad Masum, but a third candidate, Najmilddin Kareem, submitted his nomination individually.
