Salahuddin Provincial Council demanded on Tuesday the opening of a laboratory for Standardization and Quality Control to conduct the required tests on the materials that go to markets and government stores, and denied the existence of material damage to imported rice, criticized the way the transfer of samples to Baghdad.
He said the provincial council member Ziad Ajili in an interview with (long-Presse), said that "our province lacks a special lab examines the Food and compliance with international standards," and urged to "open a specialist laboratory to examine the food processing Health Service car specialist for the transfer of the samples rather than relying on cars taxi. "
Ajili said he "headed the committee to follow up the rice contained to maintain stores for distribution within the ration card items," noting that "after conducting laboratory testing and found valid for human use but the storage method of bad and caused the emergence of signs of damage on some of the quantities."
Ajili said that "Indian rice contained by the Ministry of Commerce and the source of the company (Ulan International Ltd.), is stored one Bmkanin lacks the right conditions, a 11 store," and urged the media to "be accurate in this regard and Maitalq people's livelihood."
