    , said a source in the Shalamcheh border crossing in the province of Basra , on Friday, to conduct an exchange for the remains of dozens of Iraqi and Iranian military victims of the war between the two countries, the first exchange of the process during thecurrent year. 

    The source said in an interview with Alsumaria's News, " The port has seen two days before the exchange of Iraqi and Iranian military to the remains of the victims of the war of the eighties process , " noting that " Iraq handed over the remains of 98 military Iranian has been found during the past few months in the border areas, and in return received Iraq the remains of 11 Iraqi military. "

    Baghdad / Iraq News Network delivered the Iraqi authorities on Saturday, the remains of 98 Iranian soldiers killed in the war eighties of the last century, while Iraq received from the Iranian side , the remains of 12 of its soldiers. Kazim said Yassiri employee at Shalamcheh border port in Basra province, told reporters: " The joint governmental committee today exchanged the remains of dead Iran - Iraq war , an official decree was attended by officials from both countries." He explained that "Iraq handed over the remains of 98 Iranian soldiers, and delivered from Iran , the remains of 12 Iraqi soldiers , " adding that "there is a joint committee working continuously to detect the remains of the war dead in the border areas." The two neighboring countries fought a fierce war lasted for eight years in the eighties of the last century , left nearly one million people dead from both sides and economic losses are estimated at a trillion dollars.
