[ltr]World Food Programme announced on Saturday, the reduction of food rations distributed to about 1.4 million Iraqis displaced by half due to delays in funding payments from donor countries.[/ltr]
[ltr]She said WFP spokeswoman Inger Marie Fiennes said that "this year we receive a little late donor commitments, we communicate with donors but do not have enough money yet, we were forced to cut rations as of this month."[/ltr]
[ltr]She added, "The World Food Programme is continuing with the United States - the largest donor - and Germany and Japan and other countries to secure funding and to resume full quota exchange."[/ltr]
[ltr]She explained that "the reduction by 50 percent in the monthly quota affects more than 1.4 million people in parts of Iraq," .anthy 29 / A 43[/ltr]
