Turkey rejects Kurdish referendum

Ankara/ Iraq TradeLink" The Kurdish presidency announced it objection for the Kurdish attempt for a "self –determination" referendum, warning on the effects of this move on the region.
Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin described this move as "a mistake, particularly at the current conditions in Iraq and the fragile regional security situation regarding the wars against Da'ish (ISIS) organization and the PKK party".
"This question was discussed with the Kurdish region for several times that endangering the unity of the Iraqi soil on ethnic and sectarian bases will be not right", Kalin pointed out.
He warned that the indirect effect of this move will be encouraging different ethnic groups to follow this trend and inciting regional conflicts.
