    Secretary General of the Council of Ministers , Dr. Mahdi Keywords stressed the importance of pushing the wheel of investment and remove obstacles and lift the excesses allocated to this land, to accelerate investment activity , which would provide many job opportunities and economic improvement.
    This came during his presidency and sponsorship of a workshop held at the guesthouse under the slogan (address and accelerate the mechanism of raising excesses allocated for investment land) , which included Chairman of the Investment Authority and Chairman of Baghdad Investment Authority and the Municipality of Baghdad and Baghdad Operations Command and the departments of real estate registration, in addition to a number of investors , businessmen They made a presentation of the challenges facing the investment used in both.
    This workshop came after instructing Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi in the follow - up investment projects lagging investors and hosting businessmen to see the obstacles.
    The Secretary - General stressed the importance of stopping such abuses and coordination between the specialized government departments and security agencies on the one hand, and investors through the Investment Authority on the other.
    The Secretary - General listened to what made by a group of investors to the challenges they face and these challenges take legal and other procedural aspects which will work on what is appropriate to avoid them. Furthermore, the Keywords chaired a meeting organized by the Joint Center for Coordination and Monitoring (JCMC) at the National Operations Center on the development of public policy for the return of displaced persons in the presence of the governor of Anbar Sahib al- Rawi and agents of the Ministry of Planning and the Displacement and Migration and the agencies of the United Nations (UNHCR) and (UN-HABITAT).
    He stressed the importance of increasing joint coordination between governmental institutions and organizations and the UN to develop visions and develop a strategy for the rehabilitation of the displaced and towns plan so as to contribute to support stability requirements. He added «We are looking for programs and projects to ensure the sustainability of the return of displaced persons to their areas through the mechanisms of non - traditional , such as providing adequate housing and employment opportunities for young people and the granting of soft loans and economic diversification», stressing the need to grant the areas of return exemptions from some instructions to encourage investments in which to secure a decent standard of living for returnees.
