Iran talks about a plot to assassinate al-Maliki and arrest al-Hakim

Shafaq News / Iranian report revealed on Monday what it has described as a plot to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki begins by entering the Green Zone and ends by a protest at the end of the current month.

“Fares” semi-official agency quoted from what they described as” high Iraqi security source, briefed by “Shafaq News” by saying that “the plot include the assassination of al-Maliki , leaders of Dawa Party and the Shiite alliance, in addition to inciting the Iraqi street at the end of this month”.

"The conspiracy would be carried out by infiltrator within the armed forces”.

“The United States is within this plot”.

The source added, according to the Iranian agency that "the beginning of implementing the plot requires access to heavily armed military force including elements carrying private identities to the Green Zone, and go directly to the home of Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki in order to assassinate him with the leaders of Dawa party and some leaders of the Shiite coalition in the vicinity of his residence, in conjunction with the a military force to head to the premises of the Iraqi Media Network, which represents the Iraqi state, to control it and transmit the data that will announced by the leaders of the plot belonging to a particular doctrine not from the front rows of the officials of the Ministry of Defense”.

"There are some indications that some known military leaders will announce its support for the conspiracy against al-Maliki after making sure of its success and achieve their goals then will go to Jadriya area to control the headquarters of Badr Organization and the Islamic Supreme Council and arrest and kill political figures in it”.

According to the source information, " headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Council will be stormed by militia in a military uniform coming from al-Doura area and arrest al-Hakim and some of the leaders of the Supreme Council and most of the elements of Fedayeen Saddam division and al-Qaeda organization allocated to this matter exclusively”.

“The security services found documents that prove al-Douri’s involvement and control on the leaders in the Islamic State in Iraq organization, led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, therefore the latter is keen to gain the trust of the Baathists constantly because he knows that the details are logistics and vital to al-Qaeda fighters in the Iraqi cities subjected to Douri’s influence “.

“Some tribes in southern Iraq of a Shiite majority will move to support the conspiracy against al-Maliki and the current government and confuse the situation in Shiite provinces, based on the documents revealed that al-Douri addressed some of the leaders of these Arab tribes (Baathist) that have a hostility with Islamic Republic of Iran, as the former Baathists and former army officers will move in these provinces to oversee the implementation of organized attacks that will target any troops heading to Baghdad or any (supposed Iranian forces trying to cross the border to defend the rule of al-Maliki or the holy shrines and resolve the matter,” the security source said.

"Information refers to initial data of military brigades moving inside camps in Baghdad and that al-Qaeda may be preparing for more dangerous and quality attacks and that perhaps some leaders in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense got supported to facilitate sporadic terrorist attacks that often target civilians”.

“Intensive meetings for members of Baath terrorist Party are taking place in the provinces of central and southern of Iraq, particularly in Basra, Missan , Nassiriya, Wasit and Diwaniyah, where orders have been issued from the leadership of Baath to Baathists urging for Baath return to complete the preparations of jihad and revenge."

The source concluded by saying “a demonstration similar to demonstrations in Egypt will take place at the end of the month, where the tents will be set to coincide with the occurrence of a large number of terrorist bombings in Baghdad as well."

For his part, Ali al-Moussawi, media adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki denied his knowledge of such "conspiracy".

Moussawi said in a statement to the "Middle East" newspaper that "I don’t have any information about the plot of this kind and that such talk is not logical."

Al-Moussawi confirmed that "terrorist acts here or there are implemented through car bombs or roadside bombs cant overthrew a political system , as it only harm people," he added "some slogans, such as (coming to Baghdad), rose by some parties are being translated now through car bombs where terrorism believe that such acts weaken the determination of the Iraqis after their goals became clear and those who stand behind it are known”.
