    Called Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Thursday his government to continue to rationalize spending to cope with the sharp decline in oil and gas revenues, but warned against resorting to external debt.

    Bouteflika said in a statement the new government to determine the reductions in the budget and avoid external loans and proposed funding internally "non-traditional", as called for reforms in the banking system and improve the investment climate.

    He stressed "the importance of using more renewable energy and non-conventional fossil hydrocarbons."
