Al-Allaibi announces the arrival of gas investment to 1300 by the end of 2017

Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Allaibi on Wednesday confirmed the arrival of gas investment to 1,300 cubic meters per day by the end of this year.
Al-Luaibi said during the opening of the third loading dock in the port of gas export in the port of Umm Qasr in a statement read "Mawazine News /" that "the investment of gas will see significant leaps at the end of this year to reach 1,300 million standard cubic feet per day, as well as the Ministry's plans to maximize Export rates of condensate to reach 50 thousand condensate and 5000 tons of liquid gas, explaining that this will maximize Iraq's financial revenues. "
Al-Allaibi added that "the construction of the third pier project will ease the bottlenecks in the path of the export and import tankers, aiming to develop a plan to program the movement of tankers in the export and import pathways, as well as the development and rehabilitation of four berths in the port of FAO to receive and pump oil derivatives, High flow in the flow of oil derivatives and alleviate the bottlenecks that were witnessed by the docks. "
The Ministry of Oil signed on July 13 a contract with General Electric to invest gas in the fields of Nasiriyah and Gharraf, indicating that the project will contribute to stopping the burning of gas in the fields and the provision of dry gas.
Initial estimates indicate that Iraq has a stockpile of 112 trillion cubic feet of gas, but 700 million cubic feet of it was burned daily and wasted because of the lack of infrastructure to address it. Iraq ranks 11th among the world's richest natural gas countries after Russia, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Nigeria and Algeria. The proven reserves are about 112 trillion cubic feet.
