US military officials confirmed on Thursday the success of Ansarullah al-Houthis in targeting oil refineries deep into Saudi Arabia.
"The Pentagon monitored the Houthi launch of a ballistic missile that landed hundreds of kilometers deep inside Saudi territory," CNN quoted a Pentagon official as saying.
"A Scud ballistic missile was fired near the northern city of Saada and landed near the west coast of Saudi Arabia after flying 930 kilometers, targeting a Saudi oil facility near the Saudi coastal city of Yanbu," he said.
"The missile was more accurate than the other rockets launched by the Houthi supporters," the official said. Ending / 25
